Answers to Frequently Asked Questions about the Amacon Mississauga Rotary Ribfest

When is Ribfest open?

Thursday July 14 to Sunday, July 17, 2016
Thursday 11 am – 11 pm, Friday 11 am -11 pm, Saturday 11 am – 11 pm, Sunday 11 am – 7 pm.

What is the cost of admission?

Admission on Thursday & Sunday is free with donations being collected by Rotarians to support the fundraising efforts. Admission on Friday and Saturday is $2 per person and families for $5 in support of the many causes that will benefit from your generosity.

Can I bring my dog or other pets?

No pets may enter the event. Service animals are permitted.

I’m driving. Where are you?

Celebration Square is located in front of Mississauga City Hall, 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga  (just north of Burnhamthorpe Road West and just west of Square One Shopping Mall).

Is parking available?

Parking is available in the parking garage below Celebration Square and on neighbouring streets.

Is the Ribfest site accessible?

Ribfest is on a paved parking lot, so is wheelchair friendly.

Can I bring my Skateboards, hover-boards, segways, bicycles, etc?

Skateboards, hover-boards, segways, bicycles, rollerblades, etc are not allowed in site. Bicycles can be locked up underground in the bike rooms and the other items can be checked in with security on arrival.

What beverages can I bring?

No open beverages.

Do ribbers or vendors accept Visa/MasterCard or Debit?

No, it’s cash only for them. There are ATMs on-site.

Do the beer tents accept Visa/MasterCard or Debit?

No, all sales are cash-only. There are ATMs on-site.

Who supplies the ribs?

The ribbers use their own suppliers.

What other kinds of foods are available?

Some rib teams have beef ribs as well as pork ribs, and all ribbers also offer chicken, coleslaw and baked beans. Other food vendors offer Halal, Asian street food, corn-on-the-cob, French fries, blooming onions, doughnuts, funnel cakes, beaver tails, popcorn, ice cream, candies and more.

Are there vegetarian and gluten free foods available?

Some vendors and ribbers offer Indian food, fried pickles, salads, bloomin onions, french fries, kimchi, spring rolls, corn-on-the-cob and gluten free alternatives.

What is the price of ribs?

All food vendors set their own prices. All prices include taxes. Ribbers take cash only, no cards.

Are kids welcome?

Yes, this is a family-oriented event. We have entertainment for every age group. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, note that the music in the evenings will be targeted to adults.

Are there volunteering opportunities?

The success of the event is really dependent on the efforts of the volunteers. There are hundreds of positions to be filled. Community Service credit is available. Please visit the Volunteer section by clicking here.

Where does the money go?

This event is organized by the Rotary clubs of Mississauga and Mississauga West. ALL profits.

Yes.  You can travel to Ribfest by bus.  Visit for details.

Is there anything else to do while I’m at Ribfest?

Yes! We have vendors selling clothing, sports memorabilia, and loads more and exhibitors with great information and ideas.

When is Ribfest close?

The gates will be close on the last night of Ribfest (Sunday) at 6:45 pm.
